Best time to book Umrah in 2027 (and why prices spike around Ramadan)

Umrah demand is now nearly flat throughout the year. We unpack the seasonal pricing curve and the visa windows that get squeezed first.

Once upon a time, Umrah was only busy during Ramadan. In 2026/27, demand is now nearly flat across 11 of 12 months — except for the last 10 days of Ramadan, which still add 40% to package cost. The cheapest months are: - Late Safar (Sep–Oct) - Jumada al-Awwal (Nov–Dec) - Shaban (Feb–Mar), up until two weeks before Ramadan If you can travel outside those last 10 days, you will save BDT 35,000–60,000 per pilgrim. Also: visa slots for Saudi are released in windows. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj & Umrah published the 2027 calendar last month — peak-week slots sell out 90 days in advance.
